Welcome to Timberlane Lodge!

Enjoy unforgettable walleye fishing and big and small game hunting on Canada's famous Lac Seul. Welcome! And please come back again soon. This is the ultimate fishing and hunting drive-in experience!

Hello!  And thanks to everyone who helped us have a great first season in 2007.  We had an even better year in 2008 and look forward to seeing you in 2009.  We have 12 cozy cabins, four of which are newly built, and all provide our guests with hot and cold water, kitchen and bathroom facilities, beds and great views of the lake.

We have eight years experience in the lodge industry.  Since Ear Falls is Vance's home town we are very happy and energized to be here as a family at Timberlane Lodge.  Having a resort on Lac Seul is a special privilege, too!  Lac Seul is renowned for it's fishery.  High standards are kept on this lake and this has proven to maintain a successful fishery.

We have twins, five years of age, a boy and a girl and they love their new home.  Sometimes they even help us out around We love our dogs...the camp!  Our two "camp dogs" are big but very friendly and spend lots of time with our guests.  They are very children-friendly and very sociable with people... especially the ones who feed them.  They are big dogs with big hearts so please don't let their size frighten you.

Timberlane Lodge has been established for many years and with many other owners.  We plan to be here for a very long time to come.  We ran the lodge last year the same as Dean and Meaghan.  They did such a good job, why change that?  In the spring we built another new cabin that sleeps 9 and we've made many improvements to the existing cabins. Repainting the cabins a uniform color was one of our priorities.  Plus, this year each cabin has its own new barbecue grill... enjoy!

We offer both an American Plan and a Housekeeping Plan so you can tailor your visit to Lac Seul's Timberlane Lodge just the way you like it.  Many of our guests do a combination of a Houeskeeping Plan and dining at the lodge at their leisure.  Timberlane Lodge on Lac Seul and the English RiverWe just need a little advanced notice if guests want to have a meal at the lodge instead of in their cabin.  You will not be disappointed with our gourmet attitude about meal preparation.  Give us a try if you haven't dined with us before. Our lodge offers breakfast and dinner from May to September.  Our delicious home cooked meals really satisfy your appetite so you can spend more time fishing.  For a visual taste of a few meals look here.

For our registered guests we offer a variety of services to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible.  We added 8 new fishing boats and 40 hp Yamaha motors to our fleet last year.  The fish house is always a busy place to clean your fish and trade stories with other fishermen.  We have freezer space for your catch if you wish to take fish home.  Be sure to look at the fishing page for details regarding size limits on the walleye and smallmouth bass.  We encourage catch and release on trophy fish.

Update for the 2008 season          See the 2009 Fishing Regulations here

2008 Fishing Season
Lac Seul once again produced lots of big walleyes to brag about.  The lake was down about five feet so we had to use a ramp to the main dock.  As the water came up the ramp adjusted to the water level.  We added four new 18 foot Lund boats and  new 18 foot Eagle boats with 40hp motors last year and they are ready to go in 2009!  We enlarged our fleet to accommodate the demand from our guests for boat rentals.

We have three cabins that we maintain throughout the winter.

Bear Hunting in 2008
We have three bear management areas that are located close to the lodge.  The fall bear hunt at Timberline was not operated for a number of years but we are bringing it back.  We had two bear hunters last season who came with their supporting wives.  Our hunters all had 100% opportunity to take a bear.  Look at the hunting page for more details on booking a bear hunt in 2008.

Moose Hunting in 2008
We will be doing moose hunts this fall and expect it to be as good as last year.  We are excited about the 2008 moose season; at this time all our moose tags are full.  Keep us in mind for a 2009 moose hunt!

We have fish cleaning facilities for our guests' use.
